In the effort to provide Haiti with relief, the U.S. has been trying to do its part to provide support to those in dire need within the country.
Coming together to remake the classic “We Are The World”, Quincy Jones and Lionel Richie pulled together a slew of artists to remake the magic first created with the help of the late Michael Jackson.
Of those to appear on the guest list, Jay-Z actually pulled a disappearing act as the rapper was no where to be found in the fray of the Hip Hop community.
Speaking with MTV, Jay gave the reasoning behind not being part of the song.
“I have a interesting take on that. I know everybody is gonna take this wrong: “We Are the World,” I love it, and I understand the point and think it's great. But I think “We Are the World” is like “Thriller” to me. I don't ever wanna see it touched.”
Although he may not agree with the song, he is thankful for what it has done to further aid Haiti and raised funds.
“I know the plight and everything that's going on in Haiti. I applaud the efforts. Like 1 out of 2 Americans donated through text to Haiti. That's amazing. So I appreciate the efforts and everything, but “We are the World” is untouchable like “Thriller” is untouchable. Some things are just untouchable. It was a valiant effort, but for me, it's gonna be untouchable.”
If he had things his way, Jay would have preferred that the song be something original, somewhat like “Stranded” with him, and Bono of U2.
Most would probably agree with Hov in applauding the effort, but some things just shouldn't be touched. Who would have ever thought to see Auto Tune on “We Are The World”?

As Bow Wow gears to make his formidable return to the mic, he's about to go in heavy on the mixtape circuit.
Gearing up for that task, he seems to have reached out to the reigning mixtape king, DJ Drama, and was shut down.
Bow Weezy Tweeted:
"I asked @DJDrama to do my tape. He said 'no' "(@BowWow614) on Thursday (January 7). "I'm use to the doubt. How I answer? 2 million downloads in in less than two days...
"I chose @DJDrama 1st because Ima fan and I respect and love his movement, and still is. But I don't kiss ass. I'm grown."
Speaking of the 2 million downloads, Bow was referring to his last mixtape “Greenlight 2.”
Drama also responded to the discussion with:
"Huh? How I get involved in this conversation...? Stop it. #Redlight."

“A real b*tch from the 305,we don't do f*cked up sh*t. We don't play no f*cked up, wack ass b*tchsh*t before a real b*tch come on stage.”
Quite a mouthful from the Baddest B*tch, Miami's own Trina felt the need toaddress a few issues prior to performing at a party recently. The proposed fake chick she is referencing, however, is none other than Khia.
Along with Jacki-O, Trina has had beef with Khia for quite some time as Khiawas making the claim that she was the HBIC in Miami and completely disregardedthe other two for the contributions that they have put in for rap music, aswell as pushing the movement forward for female rappers.
After telling things as she sees fit, the intermission breaks and sheproceeds to give the fans a little “Face”.

SMH... Soulja Boi think before you speak... very bad idea for him to make that statement, the label needs to pull this video. Hip Hop fans will hate the fact that he just got in the game and is trying to diss a legend.
I wonder what Nas got to say about this??
